Campari Calling: The Jungle Bird

The Jungle Bird

Last night I tried the “Jungle Bird” which I discovered on the Ladies United for the Preservation of the Endangered Cocktail (LUPEC) Boston blog. I am biased because the only organization that intrigues me more is the League of Chianti.

This is my type of drink: light, foamy, resting on crushed ice, sweet but not overly sweet and fits perfectly into my favorite double old fashioned (glass in photo, right). An excellent tiki-inspired drink.

While I yearn to belong to LUPEC, and I enjoyed my Jungle Bird, it’s not a feasible signature drink.

LUPEC’s Jungle Bird recipe.

If you’re wondering, Campari Calling is inspired by The Clash. Combat Rock was my first music purchase (yup, a tape).
